More affordable, flexible, faster and efficient than the TurboVap......

TurboVap BiotageThe Zyvitro XcelVap 5400 solvent evaporator provides simultaneous, automated concentration of up to 54 samples, touch screen programming, flexibility, and speed. The XcelVap can process samples in many popular test tube, centrifuge tube, and micro-centrifuge tube sizes.

XcelVap Components: The XcelVap consists of a temperature controlled water bath, a lid over the water bath which includes manifolds containing 54 nozzles and a user interface attached to that lid. A rack which is specific to the container type is placed into the bath and it positions the sample container in a precise location relative to the nozzles. A pressure regulator is used to set a gas flow rate, valves turn the flow on and off to specific columns of nozzles for a user defined period of time. The XcelVap is controlled by an embedded processor which is responsible for responding to user interactions, carrying out the evaporation program, and monitoring and controlling all of he functions and features of the instrument.

Programmed Processing: The XcelVap incorporates an embedded microprocessor with a touch screen Graphical User Interface which is used to control all functions of the evaporator. This includes control of the water bath temperature, time for the evaporation process with the ability to set different times for each column, and monitoring of system performance.

Multiple Sample Processing: The XcelVap has six manifold columns, each with nine nozzles that extend into the sample tubes to supply the gas for evaporation. This allows up to 54 samples to be processed simultaneously. Each manifold column can be programmed for a different evaporation time, allowing samples of different volume to be processed in one run.

Walk Away Operation: Once a run is initiated on the XcelVap the operator may leave the instrument unattended. When the programmed time has reached, the gas to the selected columns turns off automatically and the instrument sounds an alarm. The alarm level and duration can be set by the operator to suit the needs of his laboratory environment.

Easy Maintenance: The nozzles on the typical laboratory evaporator are subject to corrosion and clogging. The XcelVap incorporates nozzles which can be changed by the user in a matter of minutes, without the use of tools of any kind, thereby avoiding costly service calls and instrument down time. The XcelVap also has an integrated drain which is accessible on the front of the unit. This allows the tank to be drained for cleaning or storage without having to move the unit, bail it out with a bucket, or tip the unit over to remove the liquid.

Bench Top Positioning: The narrow footprint of the XcelVap minimizes its impact on valuable lab bench space. The integrated exhaust fan and available ducting ensure that the evaporated solvent vapors are captured and directed to a safe exhaust point. This permits the XcelVap to remain on the bench top, saving precious fume hood space for other needs.
